Thank you to all of you who used this website to learn more about the many ways Hennepin County Medical Center serves all of Minnesota: Providing trauma and critical care to all in need, teaching tomorrow’s health care professionals, providing care to the poorest of poor Minnesotans, and coordinating disaster and emergency planning and response are all fundamental needs met by Minnesota’s largest public hospital.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, the number of Minnesotans without health insurance increased from 374,000 in 2007 to 480,000 in 2009.
